Overview
Robert S. Bachner, MD is an orthopedic physician who received his board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He has a BSE in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MD from the Weill Cornell Medical Center. After his orthopaedic surgery residency in New York, he completed a fellowship in total joint replacement at Johns Hopkins University. He is an emeritus fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an emeritus member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Dr. Bachner previously split his time performing joint replacement and revision surgeries, general orthopedics, sports medicine and fracture treatment. He currently sees patients in an office-only setting, where he uses his diagnostic skills and a patient centered care approach to assess the problem and determine a specific treatment plan that best fits the patients needs. He enjoys establishing a genuine relationship with his patients and takes the time to listen to their concerns. Additionally, he takes great pride in educating patients about their conditions and ensures they understand all treatment options. Dr. Bachner's ability to relate to his patients from first-hand experience with spine, hip and shoulder ailments, enables him to truly understand their plight and provide exceptional care.
