  • 101 Woodruff Cir, suite 4309
Head shot of Patricio Riva Posse

Overview

I am a dual trained neurologist and psychiatrist. My research activities bridge these two specialties, focusing on invasive and non-invasive neuromodulation approaches as well as novel pharmacological strategies for treatment-resistant mood disorders with an emphasis in neuroimaging and physiological biomarkers.

Academic Appointment

  • Associate Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Emory University School of Medicine

Education

Degrees

  • MD from University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires

Research

Focus

  • The focus of my research at this stage of my career is mostly in treatment-resistant depression and novel therapeutic approaches, with special emphasis in Deep Brain Stimulation, with special interest in advanced neuroimaging and neurophysiology to find biomarkers of disease.
