Overview
Dr. Peijian He received his PhD from Kyushu University (Fukuoka, Japan) and completed his postdoctoral training on the molecular regulation of Na+ and fluid absorption in the Division of Digestive Diseases at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. He then joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in 2014. Dr. He' current research attempts to understand the molecular machinery that governs systemic iron homeostasis in physiological setting, the mechanisms that cause iron overload in pathological conditions, as well as the cellular stress responses to excessive iron.
