Patricia Aguayo
Overview
I am a physician, educator, and researcher with a focus on psychiatry and developmental disabilities, with specific attention to transition-age youth and individuals with complex care needs. My work centers on improving care quality through interdisciplinary training, psychiatric crisis evaluation, and systems-level collaboration. I am deeply involved in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows to ensure they are able to care for complex patients with developmental disabilities. My research and clinical activities are embedded within broader systems of care, including education, , and developmental disability services. I work closely with cross-sector partners to develop sustainable models that address service gaps and support vulnerable populations during critical life transitions.
