Michael Ripple
Overview
Michael Ripple, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Ripple completed his MD and PhD in Genetics at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, followed by a Fogarty Global Health Fellowship at the Institute for Clinical Effectiveness and Health Policy in Buenos Aires. He completed residency in pediatrics at Washington University/ St. Louis Childrens Hospital followed by a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Emory University/ Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
Dr. Ripples research interests are in pediatric ARDS (PARDS) phenotyping and the role of endothelial dysfunction in the development of PARDS. He is a member of the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) network and collaborates on multi-center trials. In addition to his research, he has a long-standing interest in global health and practicing medicine in low resource settings.
