Overview

Dr. Melody Pratt Palmore, joined the Emory Faculty in 1991 as the medical director of the Women's Clinic at the Grady Infectious Disease Program.

Dr. Palmore received her medical degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1985. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania in 1988, and then went on to pursue a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Palmore has overseen the growth of services for Women at the Ponce Clinic, to include full service comprehensive, preventive, and gynecological outpatient care. As an attending at the Ponce Clinic, she serves as consultant and primary care provider in the Main Outpatient Clinic, and on the inpatient Special Immunology Service. Dr. Palmore is also involved in clinical research at the Ponce Clinic, and has participated as a sub-investigator in the AIDS Clinical Trial Group for 22 years.

Dr. Palmore's primary interests lie in improving the delivery of health care to HIV-infected women.
