Overview
Dr. White joined the Emory University School of Medicine faculty in 2005. She completed an MPH in Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health in 1997 while working as a full-time Paramedic in Atlanta. She later graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine in 2002 and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Emory University in 2005. She pursued a Fellowship in Pre-Hospital Services (EMS Fellowship) in 2006 where she then worked as a Medical Director for multiple municipalities, Emory University, private EMS services, and educational training programs.
In 2009, she became an Assistant Residency Director of Emergency Medicine and an Associate Residency Director in 2013. In 2016, she was the Interim Residency Program Director and assumed the Residency Director position in 2017. In 2023, she pivoted to the inaugural departmental role of Director of Alumni Engagement and Relations and continues to teach and mentor on national and international platforms.
Dr. White was the recipient of several "Resident Advocate" awards, Program Director Appreciation awards, and recognition as an Outstanding Educator in the School of Medicine. In 2020, while PD, the ACGME awarded the Emory Emergency Medicine Residency Program the inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Award out of all residency programs nationally.
Dr. White is a member of the American College of Emergency Medicine, Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, and the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine.
