Overview
Dr. Lall, a board-certified emergency medicine physician, is an Associate Professor at Emory University. She has been faculty at Emory since 2013. She has also been an Assistant/Associate Residency Director for Emergency Medicine since that time. Prior to coming to Emory, Dr. Lall was an Assistant Professor at Wayne State University beginning in 2008. She was an Assistant Residency Director at the Sinai-Grace/Wayne State University Emergency Medicine Residency Program and the medical student clerkship site director at Sinai-Grace/Wayne State University beginning in 2009. Dr. Lall is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and chief residency at Emory University. Dr. Lall is actively involved in the teaching and supervision of medical students and residents. Her passion is graduate medical education, education research and scholarship. Dr. Lall is also interested in resident and faculty wellness and well being, burnout and resilience. She has presented at several national meetings on this topic. Dr. Lall is currently piloting an interactive wellness curriculum among EM residents. Dr. Lall also has an interest in gender disparities in Emergency Medicine. She is the newly appointed Director of Well-Being, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the Department of Emergency Medicine. She has been a leader in the Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine since 2012. Her professional memberships include: American College of Emergency Physicians where she is a fellow, Society for Academic Emergency Medicine where she is a member at large on the Board of Directors, Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine where she is the Immediate Past President, American Association of Women Emergency Physicians, and Georgia College of Emergency Physicians. She is also a member of the Delta Omega Honor Society. Dr. Lall is a recipient of the Momentum Award from the Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine (AWAEM), which recognizes extraordinary efforts that further the mission and values of AWAEM. While at Sinai-Grace/Wayne State University, Dr. Lall was a two time "Faculty Teacher of the Year" award winner. She also won the Resident Mentor of the Year Award in 2018.

Graduate Medical Education; Physician Burnout, Resilience and Wellness
My primary interest is in medical education research. I have multiple published book chapters. I have submitted mulitple abstracts on resident education and presented several posters on this topic as well. I am additionally interested in wellness, burnout and resilience. I have lectured nationally on this topic and am working on the national level on this topic. I am currently working on a review paper of physician wellness. I plan to update our resident curriculum on burnout and resilience and hope to show an improvement in resident satisfaction with the curriculum and improvement in our residents overall wellness.
