Overview
Dr. Cohen is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging. He serves on the Editorial Board of RadioGraphics Journal. He has served on the Board of Directors and held the position of Co-chairman of the Board of the New York Susan G. Komen Foundation. His research interests include development and validation of new imaging technologies for breast cancer detection/diagnosis currently centered on digital tomosynthesis and molecular breast imaging.
Academic Appointment
- Professor of Radiology, Emory University Hospital and Affiliated Hospitals
Education
Degrees
- M.D. (Summa Cum Laude) from University of Texas Medical Branch
- B.A. (Cum Laude) from University of Texas
Research
Focus
- My research interests center on clinical applications of new technology to breast cancer detection and screening. Past interests included percutaneous breast biopsy and digital mammography. Current interests center on MR spectroscopy to improve MR specificity, digital tomosynthesis, and radionuclide applications to breast cancer detection.
