Lucy Witt
Overview
Dr Witt is an Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Division of Infectious Diseases with interests in healthcare-associated infections, diagnostic and antimicrobial stewardship, and a clinical interest in immunocompromised hosts. She is the Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Hospital Epidemiologist at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Her research has focused on drug resistant gram-negative bacteria, as well as drug resistant Candida species. She is the co-Principal Investigator for the Georgia Emerging Infections, a CDC funded laboratory- and population-based active surveillance program monitoring important infectious diseases. Dr Witt also has an interest in medical education, and enjoys working with learners of all levels from medical students to fellows.
