Overview
Dr. Tadayon graduated from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Sinai-Grace Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. She is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and her interests include women's health emergency care as well as interprofessional education and training through bedside experiences, lectures, and simulation. Since 2013, she has served as faculty for the Veterans Health Administrations national women veterans health care education and mini-residency trainings held annually. As the emergency department (ED) women's health champion and core member of the Atlanta VA Health Care System (AVAHCS) Women Veterans Health Committee, she serves to enhance the emergency care of women veterans presenting to the AVAHCS ED through interdisciplinary and interprofessional team collaboration and protocol development.
Additional faculty are being added on a regular basis to expand the scope of practice and research in the Emergency Department. Recent additions include a toxicologist and physicians from both the CDC and NIH. Projects in development include a national telemedicine toxicology service, telemedicine triage for smaller facilities and artificial intelligence being brought into daily ED operations. A strong relationship exists with the Emory Department of Emergency Medicine in multiple endeavors.
