Overview
Our research is aimed at understanding the molecular basis of brain function and disease with an emphasis on cellular, molecular, and network biology mechanisms of vesicular trafficking and signal transduction. We are using a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary approach to identify and characterize novel regulators and mechanisms that control neuronal signaling and protein trafficking and study their dysregulation in neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinsons disease, and peripheral neuropathy. We are also performing innovative, high-throughput, systems biology research to discover and study pathogenic pathways and therapeutic targets for combating Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.
