Longchuan Li PhD
- Department of Biomedical Informatics
Adjunct Assistant Professor
-
Marcus Autism Center
1920 Briarcliff Rd
Overview
Dr. Li received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007. Upon his graduation, Dr. Li joined the Biomedical Imaging Technology Center, Emory University/Georgia Tech for his postdoctoral training, with a focus on the methods and applications of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging.
Dr. Li has previously studied brain evolution, aging and prenatal alcohol exposure using diffusion MRI. Currently, Dr. Li is focusing on charting early brain development using diffusion MRI and its applications in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Dr. Lis research also involves a comparative MRI study on infant monkeys for the ontogeny and neural basis of social visual engagement.
