Academic Appointment
- Associate Professor, Departments of Neurology and Physiology, Emory University School of Medicine
- Adjunct Faculty, Department of Applied Physiology, Georgia Institute of Technology
Education
Degrees
- MD, PhD from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School
- MS from Stanford University
- BS from Stanford University
Research
Focus
- My research focus is the restorative neurology of spinal cord injury (SCI). In human subjects or in animal model studies we are investigating plasticity in neural circuits for locomotion, autonomic function and pain following SCI and the relationship between that plasticity and functional recovery.
