My research focus is the restorative neurology of spinal cord injury (SCI). In human subjects or in animal model studies we are investigating plasticity in neural circuits for locomotion, autonomic function and pain following SCI and the relationship between that plasticity and functional recovery.

Neuromodulation with transcutaneous spinal stimulation reveals different groups of motor profiles during robot-guided stepping in humans with incomplete spinal cord injury.
