Overview

Dr. Kobaidze joined Emory as an assistant professor in 2006 in our Hospital Medicine Division. She is located at EUHM. Dr. Kobaidze graduated Cum Laude from Tbilisi State Medical School, where she received her medical degree. She also received her PhD in Immunology and Allergy; her PhD work was dedicated to hepatitis B immunology. In 1995 she worked with CDC staff as a director of field epidemiology on diphtheria outbreak in the republic of Georgia, and was offered an opportunity to work as a guest researcher at CDC, Atlanta where she remained until 2001. She completed her Internship at Mercer University School of Medicine, Internal Medicine residency at AMC, in 2006. She is actively involved in medical student and resident teaching. She is a recipient of the Golden Apple award 2011. She currently serves as an Associate Site Director for HMS service at EUHM. She is engaged in research and has multiple publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
