Overview

Dr. Herr comes to Emory by way of Los Angeles, where he served on faculty at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, in the Emergency Radiology Division. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Emory in 2012 and an abdominal imaging fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, in 2013. A longtime kinship with Atlanta and Emory brings him back to the region, having previously completed both a psychiatry residency and forensic psychiatry fellowship here at Emory, following which he practiced general and forensic psychiatry for four years before pursuing training in radiology. His academic interests center around trauma imaging research, medical student and resident trainee education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Outside of the reading room and lecture halls, Dr. Herr enjoys biking, hiking, physical conditioning, classical music, learning foreign languages and international travel.
