Research
Focus
- My research interest addresses the interface of emergency medicine and infectious diseases. In particular, I have focused my research efforts on the burgeoning problem of emerging infectious diseases and the impact this has on the clinical practice of emergency medicine. The predominant focus has been sentinel surveillance of emerging infections and drug resistant pathogens. Additional research foci address novel educational techniques and methodologies; climate change and human health; CT utilization and patient informed consent.
