Jinu Kamdar
Overview
Jinu Kamdar completed his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Kamdar completed his surgical residency training at the University of Arizona. Prior to joining the faculty at Emory in 2023, Dr. Kamdar served in the US Navy for 11 years as a surgeon which included a deployment during the Iraq War. Following his naval career, he worked as a community physician in the Atlanta area. He was part of the original team that developed the trauma program at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and he also served as the Medical Director of General Surgery at Southern Regional Medical Center.
His primary clinical focus is surgical education with an emphasis on minimally invasive/robotic applications for the Division of General Surgery within the Department of Surgery, based primarily at Grady Memorial Hospital.
