Research

Focus

  • I am testing new pharmaceutical and immunologic therapies for acute and chronic HIV infection. In addition, my research unit tests strategies for the management of complications of HIV infection or of antiretroviral therapy. Much of this research is done in conjunction with the NIH-funded AIDS Clinical Trials Group, for which I am the Principal Investigator of the Emory HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials Unit. I am also working with younger faculty as a mentor to investigate the predictors of success of antiretroviral therapy,
