Overview

Dr. Guerrero-Calderon is a member of the Division of Breast Imaging with special interest in expanding breast imaging and reducing health disparities for underserved populations, including people with disabilities, in the US and globally. He serves as the division's lead for implementation of image-guided breast cryoablation of masses as well as implementation of a pre-procedural patient education pilot program. He also serves as Assistant Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship.

Dr. Guerrero-Calderon additionally is focused on maximizing the effectiveness of educational methods in radiology training and plays an active role in training residents and fellows at Emory, and globally through RAD-AID and RSNA. He is active in numerous radiology associations and has served in several leadership positions including chair of the ACR Resident and Fellows Section (ACR RFS) Women and Diversity Subcommittee, and secretary of the ACR RFS Executive Committee. He also serves as Social Media Liaison for the American College of Radiology Young and Early Career Professional Section.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. After completing a transitional year program at the San Juan City Hospital, he completed diagnostic radiology residency with the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Radiology Clinical Educator Pathway. He completed a breast imaging fellowship with Emory University School of Medicine.
