Overview

Dr. Fangusaro is trained as a Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist with advanced fellowship training in both Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. He has also devoted much of his training and efforts to clinical trial development. His main focuses of research within Pediatric Neuro-Oncology are low-grade gliomas and central nervous system germ cell tumors. He devotes much of his time to work with consortia such as the Children's Oncology Group (COG) and Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC). He is the international co-leader of the RAPNO group and the co-leader of the international coalition on pediatric low-grade glioma. He also works with industry, and he currently leads numerous clinical trials. His goal is to improve our understanding of pediatric brain tumors and find relevant biologic targets in an effort to improve survivals and quality of life.
