Profile

Howard Gebel PhD

  • Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
    Professor Emeritus
  • hgebel@emory.edu
Head shot of Howard Gebel

Academic Appointment

  • Professor, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine

Education

Degrees

  • BS from University of Illinois
  • PhD from University of Missouri

Research

Focus

  • My research studies focus on the immunobiology of transplantation rejection in solid organ allograft recipients. I am particularly interested in how HLA antibodies detected solely by flow cytometric methodologies impact on the development of acute and chronic rejection among renal and cardiac transplant patients.
