Overview
Dr. Atallah joined the Emory University School of Medicine faculty in 2003.
He received his MD at New York Medical College and completed his emergency medicine residency at Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine Residency Program of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Atallah is the recipient of Georgia College of Emergency Physicians Medical Director of the Year for 2014, Georgia Association of Physician Assistants Physician of the Year for 2013. He has also won several teaching awards for residents and medical students and was a Finalist for the prestigious Franz Edelman Award for Excellence in Operations Research.
Dr. Atallah is a member of American College of Emergency Physicians, Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, Georgia College of Emergency Physicians, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the American Association for Physician Leadership. His/her research interests include ED operational research, patient flow, and core measures.

Focus
- I have a research interest in clinical core measures and how they impact the remainder of the patients in emergency departments. Other interests include building processes that work and patient flow through emergency departments. Operationally I am interested in how system wide improvements impact emergency departments and quality management in the ED.
