Overview

Dr. Pradilla is Professor of Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Emory Universitys School of Medicine, serves as chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and co-directs Emorys Skull Base Surgery Center. Dr. Pradilla completed neurosurgery training at Johns Hopkins and fellowship training in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at the University of Miami, in addition to postdoctoral research training in cerebrovascular research and experimental neuro-oncology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Pradilla directs the Cerebrovascular Research and Skull Base Surgery laboratories for the Department of Neurosurgery at Emory and specializes in the surgical treatment of complex brain and skull base tumors, brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and carotid artery stenosis. His research focuses on hemorrhagic stroke and minimally invasive surgery. He served as co-principal investigator of the ENRICH clinical trial a landmark national study for hemorrhagic stroke patients and is leading the Rapid Evacuation and Access of Cerebral Hemorrhage (REACH) study with a generous grant for the Marcus Foundation to expand minimally invasive surgery to other types of hemorrhagic stroke.
