G. Lyon III
Overview
Research
Current laboratory research focuses on clinically relevant genetics, virulence, and adaptive mechanisms of the fungus, C. albicans.
Clinical research focuses on the epidemiology of candidemia, the diagnosis and therapy of aspergillosis, the pathogenicity of norovirus, infections in solid organ transplant recipients and the feasibility of kidney transplantation in HIV-positive individuals.

Research
Focus
- Current laboratory research focuses on clinically relevant genetics, virulence, and antimicrobial resistance mechanisms of Candida species and novel diagnostics for aspergillosis. Clinical research focuses on the diagnosis, epidemiology and therapy of fungal infections; the pathogenicity of norovirus; CMV diagnostics and monitoring; and infections in solid organ transplant recipients.
