Overview
Research:
We are interested in investigating the molecular & cellular principles that guide human brain assembly in health and disease using state-of-art stem cell-derived models & use advanced functional tools. Our overarching goal is to illuminate new disease biology and enable avenues for novel therapeutics for the genetic disorders of the developing human brain. Our efforts are designed broadly around three inter-linked questions: (1) What are the mechanisms that underlie human brain assembly? (2) How do these mechanisms fail as disease states emerge during development? (3) What novel tools & in vitro models permit access to additional mechanisms?
