Ellen Caparosa
Overview
Dr. Caparosa received her MD degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. Her postgraduate medical training included a general surgery residency and a colorectal surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a board certified surgeon, her clinical focus involves malignant and benign diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus, including colon, rectal and anal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, rectal prolapse, pelvic floor disorders, and anorectal disorders, with interest in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic approaches to colon and rectal surgery.
Her articles have been published in a number of leading journals including the Journal of Neurosurgery, Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, and Cancer, Biology and Therapy.
Dr. Caparosa primarily works at Emory University Midtown Hospital and Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital as a Colorectal Surgeon for the Division of Colorectal Surgery within the Department of Surgery.
