Daiana Weiss MD

  • Department of Medicine
    Assistant Professor
  • (404) 727-2598
  • dweiss2@emory.edu
Head shot of Daiana Weiss

Academic Appointment

  • Assistant Professor, Emory University School of Medicine

Education

Degrees

  • Medical Degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy
  • Baccalaureate from Johannes Scharrer Highschool of Economical and Political Sciences

Research

Focus

  • Study the role of hypertension in atherosclerosis. I am currently studying the involvement of Angiotensin II and hypertension in atherosclerosis using the apolipoprotein E knockout mice and found that angiotensin II accelerates dramatically atherosclerosis in this mice. Next aim is to identify the mechanisms by which angiotensin II accelerates atherosclerosis.
