Overview
Dr. Deepa Patel is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology. Her clinical practice at Emory University Hospital includes the care of patients with high-complexity acute and chronic disease in the Emergency Department and the care of critically ill perioperative patients in the Surgical and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units. Dr. Patel coordinates the educational curriculum for a multidisciplinary Critical Care Medicine fellowship and is engaged in quality improvement work surrounding the interface between emergency departments and intensive care units. Her academic and clinical interests include using high-fidelity simulation to improve knowledge acquisition and ethical challenges in ICU.
