Douglas Blackmon
Overview
Dr. Blackmon is board certified in ophthalmology and specializes in refractive surgery and the management of corneal and external disease. He is highly skilled in all types of modern cataract surgery and corneal transplantation. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Cornea Society, and the Association of VA Ophthalmologists. He joined the Ophthalmology Section of the VA Medical Center in 2006. There he has a special interest in teaching Emory University ophthalmology residents cataract and corneal surgery, as well as clinical ophthalmology.
