Overview
Christian Mustroph, MD is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. A native of Johns Creek, Dr. Mustroph graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University with a BS in chemistry and then went on to earn his MD from Emory University. During medical school, he was a medical research scholar at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland where he investigated transporter proteins of the blood brain barrier. Dr. Mustroph completed his residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in all aspects of spine surgery including degenerative conditions, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopic spine surgery, tumors, trauma, and deformity at Emory University.
He has a research interest in outcomes measurement, spinal cord injury, and neurotrauma. In his spare time, he enjoys being active and outdoors and spending time with his wife, son, and dog.
