Overview
Dr. Devireddy is a Professor of Medicine of Interventional Cardiology at Emory University. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1998 and completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine from Duke University in 2001. In 2005, he completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at Emory University. He joined the faculty upon completion of fellowship.
Dr. Devireddy's singular focus is on delivering the most effective, appropriate, and quality care to his patients. He is clinically based at Emory University Hospital Midtown with an outpatient practice both in the Emory Structural Heart and Valve Center as well as in The Emory Clinic.
Dr. Devireddy is an interventional cardiologist with specialized expertise in complex minimally invasive procedures for severe coronary atherosclerotic disease, peripheral vascular disease, and structural heart disease.
As Emory faculty, his research interests are focused on novel catheter therapies for structural heart disease, catheter based autonomic modulation for hypertension, and minimally invasive solutions for complex vascular disease. Dr. Devireddy was an investigator with the very first PARTNER trials evaluating transcatheter aortic valve replacement for the treatment of aortic stenosis. He has been an early scholar in the field of catheter-based renal denervation for hypertension. In the CALM-FIM study, his team was the first in the world to implant a minimally invasive carotid endoprosthesis for the treatment of resistant hypertension. His work has led to multiple publications in high-impact journals. He is an active fellow of ACC and SCAI. He has lectured and participated as faculty in regional, national, and international medical meetings and has trained cardiovascular fellows for over twenty years.
