Overview

Dr. Cherie C. Hill is an Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University School of Medicine, and is ABOG certified with a focused practice designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). She is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UC Los Angeles. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University, where she served as Chief Resident, with a GME concentration in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement.

Dr. Hills clinical practice focuses on the management of gynecologic disorders, particularly abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids, in addition to providing comprehensive obstetrical and well-woman care. She is passionate about educating patients, medical students, resident and fellow physicians.

Beyond the clinical setting, Dr. Hill serves as the Wellness Ambassador and Chair of the Wellness Committee for the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and as Director of the Resident Wellness Program. She also serves on the American College of Ob/Gyn (ACOG) CREOG Education Committee, and previously completed a 3 years term on the ACOG Clinical Practice Guidelines Gynecology Committee. Her research interests include resident well-being, determinants of preterm birth, heavy menstrual bleeding and uterine fibroid patient education (Centering patients with Fibroids).

She maintains her own wellness through participation in public service, gardening, photo journaling, mentorship of local students; quality time with her husband, 3 children, extended family and friends.
