Blaine Roberts
- Department of Biochemistry
Associate Professor
Overview
Dr. Roberts is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Neurology at Emory University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Montana State University and his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University.
His research group focuses on using protein biochemistry and mass spectrometry to understand Alzheimers, Parkinsons and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He has interest in understanding the role of metals in biology and has developed new proteomic technologies to measure metalloproteins. Further, his group is using mass spectrometry and next generation quantitative assays for the development of new blood borne biomarkers for Alzheimers and Parkinsons disease.
