Overview
Beryl Manning-Geist, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Manning-Geist specializes in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies, and is an attending physician based primarily at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Emory University Hospital.
Dr. Manning-Geist is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has served in multiple leadership roles and committees for Society of Gynecologic Oncology, where she currently serves on the Clinical Practice Committee, NRG Oncology, where she serves on the rare tumor subcommittee and has been named as an Early Career New Investigator, and the international consortium for low grade serous ovarian cancer.
Dr. Manning-Geist completed medical school on a full merit-based Woodruff scholarship at Emory University School of Medicine, her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Harvard University's Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and her gynecologic oncology fellowship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she was awarded with the prestigious Byrd award for best surgical fellow in the Department of Surgery on graduating.
Dr. Manning-Geist co-leads the Gynecologic cancer research program at Emory University, where she focuses on novel therapeutics and targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and surgical management of endometrial and ovarian cancers. At Emory, she also serves on the Phase I clinical trial committee.
Dr. Manning-Geist serves on the editorial board of Gynecologic Oncology. She has published extensively on gynecologic cancers with over 50 peer-reviewed publications as well as several book chapters. She has numerous research-related awards including the ASCO Merit Award, Society of Gynecologic Oncology's Young Investigator Award, and the 2025 Winship Early Career Clinical Investigator Leadership Award.
