Overview

Prior to his current position as Director of the Emory-Georgia Tech Healthcare Innovation Program, Dr. Sanfilippo served as Emory University Executive VP for Health Affairs, CEO of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center, and Board Chair of Emory Healthcare. From 2000-2007 he was Executive Dean for Health Sciences and Dean of the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health, Senior VP for Health Sciences and CEO of the OSU Medical Center.

From 1993-2000 Dr. Sanfilippo was the Baxley Professor, Chair of Pathology and Pathologist-in-Chief at Johns Hopkins and Research Director of the Comprehensive Transplant Center. Previously he served as Professor of Pathology, Surgery, and Immunology and Director of the Immunogenetics-Transplantation and Immunopathology Laboratories at Duke.
