Allison Linden
Overview
Dr. Allison Linden received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2008, then continued at Georgetown University Hospital to complete her general surgery residency in 2015. She received her MPH degree with a concentration in global health and population at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, and was a Paul Farmer Global Surgery Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School during her residency research sabbatical.
Dr. Linden completed a pediatric surgery critical care fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in 2016, a pediatric surgery ECMO fellowship at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in 2017, and a pediatric surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson/AI DuPont Hospital for Children in 2020.
Dr. Linden's primary clinical and scholarly interests are in neonatal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, surgical critical care, ECMO, and global surgery. She has spent time abroad in Rwanda and Uganda training local surgical postgraduates and performing disparities research involving access to surgical care in low-resource settings. Her articles have been published in a number of leading journals, including Journal of Pediatric Surgery, JAMA Surgery, and The Lancet.
