Head shot of Alyssa Krasinskas

Overview

Subspecialty interest and expertise: Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Pathology
Research focus: Pancreatobiliary pathology, including cholangiocarcinoma and pancreatic cancer

Academic Appointment

  • Director of QA, Emory University Hospital
  • Professor, Department of Pathology, Emory University School of Medicine

Education

Degrees

  • MD from University of Rochester School of Medicine Medicine and Dentistry
  • BA from Clark University

Research

Focus

  • Pancreatobiliary neoplasia

My research is primarily focused on pancreatic and biliary tract cancers and diagnostic mimics, including tumoral intraepithelial neoplasia, cystic lesions, and inflammatory processes. I am interested in elucidating the molecular oncogenesis of pancreaticobiliary cancers and developing a practical approach to improve diagnosis, prognostication and theranostics of these tumors.
