Adam Bernheim
Overview
Dr. Bernheim is a cardiothoracic radiologist who joins Emory most recently from Boston, where he completed a fellowship while working clinically at the Massachusetts General Hospital and teaching and conducting research at Harvard Medical School. He enjoys day-to-day clinical cardiothoracic imaging and places providing excellent patient care as a paramount priority, but also aims to involve himself in research, teaching, lecturing, and writing. Through 2015, Dr. Bernheim has co-authored nearly two dozen paper and poster publications, has written two textbook chapters, is an active reviewer for the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and has lectured at several medical conferences throughout the world, including at the Asian Congress of Thoracic Imaging in Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Bernheim's chief research interests include lung cancer screening, radiofrequency ablative and cryoablative techniques, the role PET/CT in the oncologic patient, and cardiac computed tomography. He has served as international master for the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography in 2014 and 2015 during their winter meetings in Hawaii. Away from medicine, Dr. Bernheim enjoys reading, playing tennis, and international travel.
