Overview
Dr Al-Bayati completed his Neurology residency at Loma Linda University in California then pursued further training in Vascular Neurology at University of Pittsburgh and Neurointerventional Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine where he completed 2-year CAST certified fellowship. He is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology and currently practicing as Interventional and Vascular neurologist at EMORY University school of medicine, Grady memorial hospital. He is actively involved in a robust clinical and scientific research mission in one of the nation's busiest stroke centers. The clinical volume and complexity encountered daily at Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience center, the collegial and research-oriented environment at Emory University, and his exceptional past and current mentorship are crucial components for him to continue growing as a productive contributor to the field.
Research and specialty interests: Neuroendovascular surgery: acute ischemic stroke intervention; carotid and vertebral arteries disease; cerebral aneurysms; arteriovenous malformation; dural arteriovenous fistulas; intracranial atherosclerotic disease.
