  1. Explain their role in identifying struggling learners
  2. Describe the 4 categories of underperformance:
    1. cognitive – medical knowledge
    2. cognitive – clinical reasoning
    3. non-cognitive – attitude
    4. non-cognitive – affect
  3. Identify when to refer learners for various issues (e.g., substance abuse, mental health, harassment)
  4. Describe the Emory and community-based referral resources
