9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
How many students are in each session?
20-25
Do students stay on campus for the duration of the Academy?
No, Summer Science Academy does not have a residential component. Students must be dropped off and picked up each day.
Is the Academy open to students in the 9-12 grades?
Summer Science Academy is only open to students who will be an incoming 9th or 10th grade student. We do not accept incoming 11th or 12th grade students.
Can I switch my child from one session to another?
We prefer not to make changes if they can be avoided. However, we understand changes do arise. If space is available, we will make the proper accommodations.
Are refunds available?
Yes, refunds are available through May 2, 2025 - $50 cancellation fee applies. If refund desired after May 2, there will be a $200 cancellation fee.
Who will be teaching my student?
Qualified 1st and 2nd year medical students, health professions students, and/or teachers who have agreed to spend their summer cultivating the next generation of medical and health professionals.
Are students responsible for their own supplies?
We supply all of the materials, supplies, and fun for participants!
What are COVID-19 protocals for participation?
We strongly encourage that all students be fully vaccinated. Though not a requirement, full vaccination helps reduce the transmission of the virus among fellow students. We strongly suggest that students wear masks.
What are the considerations for out-of-state students?
Out-of-state students must have a guardian available and responsible for pick-up and drop-off, medical decisions in the event of a health concern, and ensure that the student has lunch each day.
Will students be provided lunch?
No, students are to bring their personal lunch each day. Lunches should be in a container that can preserve the integrity of the food items until lunch time.
