Daughters Against Alzheimer’s raised a record $1.8 million at the eighth annual Battle for the Brain on Feb. 6, supporting Alzheimer’s research at Emory University's Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center with a dynamic lip-sync competition.

The annual Newly Tenured and Promoted Faculty Reception honored 84 faculty committed to advancing their scholarship and teaching at Emory.

Dr. Patrick Wurster’s work in global ophthalmology focuses on overcoming barriers to care. In Ethiopia, he educates residents while addressing systemic issues, including financial struggles, lack of insurance, and physician retention.
