ERSA is a growing network dedicated to support the research staff at Emory University.

Mission:

To build a rich and vibrant research community that will promote excellence in research at Emory.

Vision:

ERSA will...

...Strive to promote communication within the diverse research community and other components of the Emory community.

...Promote a collaborative atmosphere, which will create an innovative and productive research environment, providing a strong knowledge base and foundation for research at Emory.

...Educate and keep the research staff members informed regarding resources and policies at Emory that will encompass numerous areas:

  • safety and compliance
  • technical support and equipment sharing
  • self growth and career development
  • initiative and leadership

...Increase visibility and awareness of the different research community components and the issues affecting them.

...Reinforce the sense of pride of being an integral part of the Emory research community and its achievements.

ERSA History:

ERSA was initiated by Emory HR in January 2006 to create a research staff network to address the high turnover rate among the research community and to thereby prevent the loss of institutional memory.

  • 4. ERSA Website
  • 5. Involvement in Emory community: Employee Council
  • 6. Staff Fest
  • 7. Ongoing open channels of communication with other Emory components: HR, SOM administration, Post Doc Education Office, FSAP, EHSO, Procurement.
  • 8. Bioresearch Product Fair
