How did you choose your specialty?
It was a combination of personal & professional motivation. My grandfather developed heart disease at a young age, and I saw the impact of this on quality & quantity of life. Cardiology is a great combination of using your eyes, ears, hands, and brain. It is fast paced, rewarding, and challenging. As a pioneer in Preventive Cardiology I have been able to grow with & contribute to the development of this important field.
What do you like MOST, and like LEAST, about your specialty?
- Most- Direct patient contact that is longitudinal.
- Least- Pace, pressure, and hours can be quite demanding
In your opinion, what attributes are important in anyone choosing this specialty?
Ability to:
- Listen well.
- Think quickly on your feet and be decisive.
- Multi-task and prioritize.
