Kapasi is the dean of the College of Health Professions at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Before becoming the dean, he served as the director and professor in the Division of Physical Therapy and vice chair of education of Emory's Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in physical therapy from the University of Bombay, India, a PhD in anatomy/immunobiology from Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia and an Executive MBA from the Goizueta Business School, Emory University. Kapasi serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Humanities in Rehabilitation. In 2014, Emory School of Medicine conferred the Dean's Teaching Award to him and in 2017 the Emory Williams Distinguished Teaching Award and the Atlanta Business Chronicle awarded him the Health Care Heroes Allied Health Professional Award. An active American Physical Therapy Association member, he has served on the Board of Directors of the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy and chaired the American Physical Therapy Association's Education Leadership Partnership. Currently, Kapasi serves on the Board of Directors of the American Physical Therapy Association as a treasurer and is a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Paige E. Black, MMSc, CGC
Black received her BA from UCLA in human biology and society with a special focus in bioethics and public science policy. After working for several years as a clinical research coordinator at the UCSF Cancer Immunotherapy Program and then at Invitae, she returned to school to receive her graduate degree in human genetics and genetic counseling from Emory University School of Medicine. Now, as a general and pediatric genetic counselor at Emory, Paige works with both adult and pediatric patients with rare diseases. She also helps run the genetics portion of the interdisciplinary Differences of Sexual Development Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta and is a member of the NORD Newborn Screening Working Group. She continues to be passionate about research, science policy and education and has been co-instructor for the Medical Genetics I and II courses in the Emory GCTP since 2024. In her free time, Black can be found at a local farmers market, reading at home with her cats and drinking lots of coffee, running in Piedmont Park, hiking or quilting.

Alexandria D. Simmons, MPH, RT(R)
Simmons is a native of Valdosta, Georgia, and a respected health care leader with more than 15 years of experience in radiologic technology. She currently serves as a radiology supervisor at Emory Winship Cancer Institute, where she oversees diagnostic imaging operations and supports clinical collaboration across departments. Simmons holds a Master of Public Health from South University and a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Known for her calm, people-centered leadership, she is passionate about developing emerging technologists and improving patient care through excellence, empathy and continuous learning.
