Announcements & Accomplishments: 

Atlanta PRIDE Recap

Oct. 15 

Members of the Affinity Group were well represented at the Atlanta Pride Festival this year. Eliot Blum and Jason Schneider again served as co-medical directors. Many faculty and residents volunteered alongside Grady EMTs and paramedics. The Affinity Group made our tent available on Sunday of that weekend after the parade as a casual drop-in location. Several trainees and faculty stopped by to enjoy the fellowship and fall weather.

 

LGBTQ+ Faculty Affinity Group Mentoring Program- Maintaining Wellness and Mental Health Panel

Oct. 17 | 5 - 7 p.m.

For this panel we had the pleasure of being joined virtually by Janice Harewood,PhD with the Emory Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) to discuss navigating and maintaining wellness and mental health.

Gender-Affirming Clothing Drive

Oct. 30 - Nov. 10 | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Cox Hall 324 (LGBT Life)

Donate clean and gently-used items over the next two weeks. Clothing will be provided to students
free of charge for gender-affirming purposes. All items not taken by students will be donated to
Lost-N-Found Youth Thrift Store.

Annual Pop-up Thrift Shop

Nov. 14 | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Cox Hall 324 (LGBT Life) 

LGBT Life's annual pop-up gender-affirming thrift shop is back! Looking for a discreet way to
acquire gender-affirming clothing? Come find us during Trans Awareness Week (November 13 - 17)
to try on clothes, shoes, binders, adjustable bras, and much more!

Bridge of Light

Nov. 16 | 4-6 p.m. | Lee & White  

Join Emory PRIDE Employee Network in partnering with non-profit organization Bridge of Light to pack dignity kits for those who are unhoused or living in poverty.
