As an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Improving Health and Healthcare (IHHC) Portfolio Program Sponsor, Emory University School of Medicine IHHC works with participating ABMS Member Boards to grant IHHC credit to Emory physicians who actively participate and successfully complete approved quality improvement efforts. IHHC (CME Office) provides a process for formal review of IHHC projects to ensure they comply with ABMS standards.
The CME Office will report approved IHHC projects to ABMS Specialty Boards via MOCAM platform for their review. Individual physicians who can attest to participation will also be submitted to MOCAM for Specialty Board review for IHHC credit.
If you need IHHC credit by December 31 of the current year, the deadline to submit a completed project application to us is November 1 to allow for review and approval by Emory and by your specialty board.
