Scientists Thomas Boehm, Klaus Rajewsky and Tadatsugu Taniguchi are the 2026 Max Cooper Prize in Immunology recipients. The award’s namesake is Max. D. Cooper, a renowned Emory immunologist whose work includes pioneering studies on the evolution of the immune system.

Clinicians, researchers and data scientists teamed up for a two-day “datathon” — an intensive, collaborative research sprint — turning real-world health data into fresh breakthroughs and creating collaborations across Emory’s research community.
