The Emory Center for Experiential Learning (ExCEL) seeks to provide exemplary programming that optimizes the medical training at Emory University School of Medicine. To that end, ExCEL must maximize the effective use of its resources to meet its mission. ExCEL, its facilities and staff can be used by Emory faculty for courses unrelated to Emory School of Medicine coursework on a fee-for-service basis.
The fees are used to support the inherent costs when the facility is being used for teaching initiatives. Rates are based on the type of user, services required, equipment and supplies used, and the level of complexity of the event. These rates are effective beginning September 1, 2012.
Emory faculty led CME and non-CME courses and Emory Healthcare
- $500 per course (4 hours)
- $75 per hour additional fees as negotiated based on event
- $75 per hour will be charged for non-staffed events
- $25 per hour required on site staff member
- $1000 per course (4 hours)
- $150 per hour additional fees as negotiated based on event
- $150 per hour will be charged for non-staff events
These fees cover use of identified simulators; technical support; logistical support; equipment maintenance; use of learning management system during regular business hours.
There will be additional fees for consumable supplies which will be determined at the time of booking.
Audiovisual support is an additional fee and can be discussed with the School of Medicine IT department. firstname.lastname@example.org
